Botox treatment
We are pleased to offer therapeutic Botox injections for the treatment of Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD), tension headaches and migraines. TMD and migraines are often linked as the muscles in the head and neck all work in balance.
Botox has been approved by the FDA to treat chronic migraines in adults. Injections of Botox into the affected muscles can decrease the intensity of muscle contractions. It does not mean that your muscles will not function. Botox relaxes the muscles enough to prevent the extreme contractions that can cause pain.
Each case presents differently and we will work with you to develop a treatment plan that is specific to you and your concerns. We will take the time to discuss with you the treatment options available and whether you are a candidate for Botox treatment.
